Abinader dice Gobierno no intervendrá en investigación judicial de tragedia en Jet Set

DIARIO ULTRAMAR, SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- En su encuentro LA Semanal con la prensa, el presidente Luis Abinader afirmó este lunes que el Gobierno no intervendrá en la investigación judicial relacionada con la tragedia del Jet Set, donde el desplome del techo cobró la vida de al menos 231 personas.
“Quiero ser muy claro: el Ejecutivo no intervendrá en la administración de justicia”, declaró Abinader ante los periodistas.
“La investigación técnica y las decisiones del Ministerio Público y los tribunales correrán por sus causas legales, sin injerencia de mi gobierno”.
El mandatario inició sus declaraciones reconociendo el dolor nacional: «Los últimos días nos han tocado el alma. Lo que hemos vivido, duele, duele como país, duele como comunidad, duele en lo más profundo».
Tras convocar un minuto de silencio en honor de las víctimas, destacó que “en medio del dolor también ha salido lo mejor de nuestro pueblo, lo mejor de nuestra gente, la solidaridad, la entrega, el sentido de comunidad que tanto nos definen como dominicanos”.
Abinader subrayó que las familias afectadas “no están solas, no están solas, no están solas. Todo un país está con ustedes, todo un país les abraza y el Estado dominicano está y seguirá estando a su lado, con respeto, con responsabilidad y con compasión”.
Decreto para reconocer a quienes participaron en rescate en Jet Set
El presidente anunció además un decreto para reconocer oficialmente a quienes participaron en las labores de rescate.
“He instruido a la consultoría jurídica del Poder Ejecutivo a redactar un decreto de condecoración en el que se resalte la labor patriótica y sagrada de los cientos de personas que con perseverancia y valentía se sumaron a las labores de rescate, que salvaron vidas y que elevaron con sus hechos nuestro espíritu”.
En materia de apoyo a las víctimas, Abinader explicó que se ha dado instrucción a Súperate para dar seguimiento a la salud física y mental de afectados y rescatistas: “A nadie lo vamos a dejar solo, el Gobierno va a estar con ellos y Súperate es el organismo del Gobierno que le va a dar el seguimiento”.
Finalmente, en respuesta a una pregunta sobre la supervisión de obras privadas, el jefe de Estado admitió un vacío legal y anunció: “El Inesvie (Oficina Nacional de Evaluación Sísmica y Vulnerabilidad de Infraestructura y Edificaciones) se creó y estamos trabajando para el tema de las obras públicas y las infraestructuras públicas… Hay un vacío que varios ingenieros han mencionado sobre la supervisión obligatoria de las obras privadas… y esperamos tener un proyecto de ley cuanto antes”.
