DIARIO ULTRAMAR, SANTO DOMINGO.- El diputado de ultramar de la circunscripción 2, Edward Cruz, solicitó en el día de hoy el apoyo en un voto favorable para el proyecto de ley propuesto por el diputado Eugenio Cedeño, que busca motivar la participación electoral reduciendo así la abstención, a través de el reenforzamiento positivo de beneficios, reconocimientos y oportunidades económicas y de empleos para los ciudadanos que ejerzan su voto en las elecciones.
Con esta propuesta de ley del diputado Cedeño, se busca reducir hasta eliminar la cantidad de votantes que ejercen su derecho motivados por dádivas y oportunidades financieras en el día de las elecciones.
El diputado Cruz, además expresó: «Yo abogo por el voto electoral obligatorio, pero en lo que se trabaja en una ley que garantice los derechos del electorado, al mismo tiempo que fortalezca la democracia, consideramos positiva y apoyamos esta excelente propuesta del diputado Cedeño».
